Leaving their small town in rural Alabama, Noah J. Rubin ventured to Los Angeles at 18 to pursue their creative aspirations. Touring domestically and internationally as a musician followed, and curiosity soon led them into music production, opening new opportunities for work and collaboration with a range of acts including Cain Culto, Ryan James Carr, James Paek, John Jin Han, Mark Barlow, and October Mills, as well as publishers like Ninja Tune, Common Hymnal, and Payday.

Noah’s debut in the dance world came at the Norwegian National Ballet with Emma Portner’s “Some Girls Don’t Turn,” followed by “Bathtubs” at the Royal Swedish Ballet, and most recently “Forever, Maybe,” at the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. Their current work centers on sample-based granular synthesis using Eurorack modules and hardware sequencers, drawing from influences that range from dub techniques to jazz experimentalism to create distinct sonic identities.
